Head of State receives Singapore parliamentary delegation

Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received a Singapore parliamentary delegation led by Speaker Seah Kian Peng, El.kz cites Akorda press service.

The meeting was held in a friendly and productive atmosphere, reflecting deep relations and the desire of the parties to further expand bilateral ties.

“We are reliable partners. Much has already been done to strengthen our ties, but at the same time, we set ourselves high goals for the further development of our cooperation”, the President said.

Parliamentary diplomacy plays the most important role in strengthening international cooperation and promoting a dialogue between the countries.

As the President noted over 140 Singaporean companies and joint ventures are present in Kazakhstan with a total amount of investments of up to 1.4 billion US dollars.

Seah Kian Peng expressed gratitude to the Head of State for his hospitality and noted the huge potential for deepening cooperation

The parties debated prospects for developing economic and investment cooperation, and issues of the regional and international agenda.

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere reflecting the deep relations between the two states and the striving of the parties for further widening of bilateral ties.
