Chairman of the Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kumys Seitova took part in the grand opening of the theater, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The ceremony was also attended by well-known representatives of the country's culture. Among the special guests of the evening are the Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, prominent director Askhat Mayemirov, the winner of the Cannes Film Festival, the famous film actress Samal Yeslyamova, the theater and film actor, the winner of the state prize "Daryn" Ayan Utepbergen, the theater and film actor, the winner of the state prize "Daryn" Asylkhan Tolepov.
The creative team presented to the guests the historical drama "Cleopatra" by the famous writer and playwright Bernard Shaw.
It should be noted that the theater was formed in 2014. Over the years, the team has successfully participated in foreign festivals, delighted residents of the Atyrau region and neighboring regions with performances.
In 2021, with Bernard Shaw's historical drama Cleopatra, the team won the Grand Prix of the 23rd International Festival of Ancient Art "Bosporan Lights", held in Crimea, and the theater actress Gaini Kukatova was awarded the nomination "Best Female Image".
The theater employs 25 actors.
