10th grade student Zhaksylyk Sekenov has developed scientific project using Ai to analyze climatic conditions on Mars,  El.kz reports citing Enlightenment Ministry of Kazakhstan.

The basis of the project was meteorological data from the Kaggle platform, including information received from NASA rovers. The system processes data arrays using machine learning algorithms, identifying temperature fluctuations and dependencies on the time of day, coordinates and Martian seasons. The program generates forecasts of climate change for specified time intervals. During testing, Zhaksylyk compared the performance of three models: linear regression, Random Forest, and Gradient Boosting, and chose the latter for its accuracy.

"I wanted to understand how the climate works on other planets, and Mars seemed the most interesting. There is almost no atmosphere, and the temperature changes dramatically. I wondered if it was possible to calculate this with the help of AI," Zhaksylyk Sekenov shared.

In the future, Zhaksylyk dreams of working in space technology and creating intelligent systems that can help humanity explore other planets. He hopes that his work will contribute to the preparation for interplanetary missions.
