Young choreographers of CIS countries performe in Astana

The International Festival-Competition of Young Choreographers, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, took place in Astana from April 7 to April 10, 2025, El.kz reports citing the Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Information.
The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography hosted artists from Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. The competition brought together representatives of the choreographic art of the CIS countries and became a creative platform in honor of the historical date.
The festival was organized by Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Information with the support of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of States. The goal of the project is to develop cultural dialogue, strengthen friendship and professional ties between the countries of the region.
At the closing ceremony, Vice Minister of Culture and Information Aibek Sydykov read out a welcome letter from Minister Aida Balaeva. It emphasizes the importance of preserving historical memory through creativity.
Within the framework of the Gala Concert, the winners of the festival were awarded special prizes.
The organizers noted the high level of participants and expressed the hope that the festival would become an annual tradition and a contribution to the development of choreographic art in the post-Soviet space.
