UWW President Nenad Lalovic visits number of sports facilities in Astana
United World Wrestling President Nenad Lalovic, got acquainted with the key sports facilities in Astana as part of an official visit to Kazakhstan, El.kz reports citing the Kazakh Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
The head of UWW visited the Qazaqstan athletics sports complex. Modern complex is certified by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and meets all the requirements for holding competitions of the highest level.
As well as Nenad Lalovic surveyed the Martial Arts Palace named after Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov, a unique sports complex designed for international competitions in Greco-Roman, freestyle and women's wrestling, as well as judo, karate, taekwondo and mixed martial arts.
"I am glad to visit Astana again! Your city is becoming more beautiful and modern. Today I got acquainted with the new sports infrastructure, surveyed everal facilities that have made sports an integral part of the urban environment. Sports complexes are built at a high level, providing comfort for both athletes and fans. Each of them is capable of hosting international competitions," Nenad Lalovic said.
