Turkey is poised to become a full member of the SCO, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan told reporters on the sidelines of the NATO summit, El.kz reports.
“Turkey aims to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as a permanent member. I asked for support from all permanent members on this issue," Erdogan said.
Earlier, Erdogan attended the SCO summit in Astana on July 3-4.
It should be noted that Turkey is one of the five largest trading partners of Kazakhstan and the top 20 investor countries.
