Turkestan region to create its own brand
In the Turkestan region, a concept for the development of the cultural sphere has been developed, El.kz reports with reference to the akimat of the region.
At the meeting chaired by the akim of the region Darkhan Satybaldy, plans in this direction were discussed. The head of the region set specific tasks to increase the spiritual and cultural potential of the region, the formation of Turkestan's own brand in the field of art.
- We must comprehensively form the brand of a sacred city or region. Especially in the field of culture, Turkestan has its own brand. Our dancers, singers, and ensembles must perform in fashionable clothes that we produce. Since Turkestan is a spiritual capital, tourists want to see our culture, our ancient traditions. Look for talents, organize a competition. Our cultural events should be at the republican and international level. Develop work on the development of all areas of culture. Since you are a responsible manager, improve the culture of districts and cities. Let the houses of culture not become just a place for meetings. Each district has its own life, and there should be its own cultural program. Make sure they work in a modern direction. Also increase the opening of library offices. It is necessary to form a culture of reading books. Now young directors make good TV series for little money. They are spreading in the countries of Central Asia. It is necessary to establish contact with them and create projects that promote Turkestan. The development of the creative industry is a requirement of the time," Darkhan Satybaldy instructed the head of the department and akims of districts and cities.
According to the head of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Turkestan region, Azimkhan Koilybayev, work is underway to create a creative industry zone. This year, plans have been prepared for 6 main areas of development of the cultural sector. A concept for the installation of monumental works of art in the city of Turkestan has been prepared. Over the past 3 years, monitoring of installed monumental works of art has been carried out, 17 illegally monuments have been legalized.
This year, in order to be included in the UNESCO international list, archaeological research of the Arpaozen historical and cultural complex was carried out. As a result of the study, more than 5000 petroglyphs were uncovered and a proposal was sent for inclusion in the international list. At present, petroglyph registration cards, scientific examinations have been prepared, and new objects of historical and cultural heritage have been identified.
In the region, a scientific examination of 100 objects of historical and cultural heritage, which are on the list of preliminary registration, is being carried out. In 2023, within the framework of the "Auyl El – Besigi" program, 13 houses of culture (together with the library) were put into operation. This year, within the framework of the state creative order, a regional art competition will be organized among the supplier circles for the first time.
Within the framework of the "TURKIsTANYM" project, informative videos about the sacred places of the region and the unique places of the city of Turkestan are filmed and promoted through social networks. In the villages, film screenings are organized on an ongoing basis to promote domestic cinema.
A number of large-scale projects were also organized in order to increase the number of readers and improve folk culture. This year, for the first time, it is planned to organize a competition of new thermes at the republican level. An action plan is being developed for the implementation of the anniversaries of persons celebrated at the republican level.
