Tokayev supports Putin-Trump discussion on Ukraine

The President of Kazakhstan noted the importance of dialogue between the leaders of Russia and the United States regarding Ukraine,El.kz reports citing Akorda.

Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the outcomes of the phone talks between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, noting their commitment to achieving lasting peace through agreements. According to the Kazakh leader, this step is extremely important for the stability and security of the entire Eurasian region.

Earlier, Tokayev stressed the need for a peaceful settlement of the conflict and urged all involved nations to start a dialogue.

In particular, Tokayev supported the initiatives of China and Brazil aimed at finding a diplomatic solution to the Ukrainian crisis at the BRICS summit.
