Tokayev receives Qatari Ambassador Abdullah bin Hussein Al Jaber
The Head of State received the Abdullah Hussein Al Jaber as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Kazakhstan, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of Akorda.
During the meeting , President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called Qatar one of the closest partners of Kazakhstan, sharing common goals and aspirations.
The Head of State stressed that in recent years, the two countries have made significant progress on a wide range of bilateral and multilateral agendas, created a solid legal framework and launched a number of major investment projects.
The President of Kazakhstan conveyed gratitude to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim ibn Hamad Al Thani for his support and personal participation in the upcoming SCO summit in Astana as a guest of honor.
The Ambassador of Qatar thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the warm welcome and reaffirmed Doha's commitment to the further progressive development of multifaceted cooperation.
The sides also discussed the current issues of bilateral agenda, prospects for cooperation in trade and economic, energy and health sectors.
