Tokayev receives Chairman of Executive Committee of International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea

The Head of State received Chairman of the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea Askhat Orazbay, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the President was informed about the activities of the Fund and its tasks for the coming years during the chairmanship of Kazakhstan.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the need to further strengthen the interaction of the IFAS founding states, including on the creation of a regional cooperation mechanism for the effective use of water and energy resources in Central Asia, the introduction of a unified automated system for accounting, monitoring, management, and distribution of water resources in the Aral Sea basin.
