Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew, El.kz cites Akorda.
According to the President, the TikTok is gaining ground in the country with over 10 million Kazakhstani users. The worldwide service for creating and viewing video content is among the first to translate its interface into Kazakh as well as assigned the commissioner for the prevention of cyberbullying.
For his part, Shou Zi Chew told about the realization of the project TikTok StartUp Academy, an exclusive educational program for Kazakhstani startups together with Astana Hub. In addition, the TikTok Startup Valley contest was held under the partnership, as a result of which over 200 startuppers underwent training in the instruments to attract attention to their products via TikTok.
During the talk, the issues of cooperation in the field of creative industry, AI research, e-commerce promotion, as well as global promotion of the culture and tourism opportunities of Kazakhstan via TikTok.
