Tokayev meets with Prime Minister of Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, El.kz reports citing Akorda.

The sides discussed the prospects for the development of the Kazakh-Russian strategic partnership, paying special attention to strengthening trade, economic, investment cooperation, including through the Eurasian Economic Union.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev praised Mikhail Mishustin's contribution to strengthening the ties of friendship and good-neighborliness between the countries and noted the importance of implementing the agreements that were reached during the state visit of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to Astana on November 27 last year.

"Relations between our countries cover almost all areas of cooperation. We consider your visit to Astana as an important stage in the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level. During the visit of Vladimir Putin to Kazakhstan, a regional forum was successfully held in Ufa. This year we have planned to hold the next forum in Uralsk, on the territory of Kazakhstan. I think that this format of cooperation certainly brings useful results," the President noted.
