Tokayev meets with President of United World Wrestling Nenad Lalovic

The Head of State received President of United World Wrestling Nenad Lalovic, El.kz reports via Akorda.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pointed out that wrestling is an important sport that plays a significant role in strengthening the position of our country in the international sports arena. He also highly appreciated the achievements of domestic wrestlers who successfully perform at the world's largest tournaments.

The Head of State stressed that Kazakhstan is aimed at strengthening strategic cooperation with the International Wrestling Federation. According to him, the expansion of infrastructure, the introduction of advanced training methods and the holding of international tournaments in our country will contribute to the growth of the popularity and competitiveness of wrestling.

Nenad Lalovic thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the warm welcome and expressed readiness to continue cooperation. He called Kazakhstan an important partner of the federation and noted the impressive progress of the national wrestling school. According to him, the desire of Kazakhstanis to form a healthy nation helps to achieve high results in sports and other areas.

The prospects for strengthening Kazakhstan's position in the world sports community and further promoting wrestling as one of the priority sports were discussed.

Following the meeting, President Tokayev conferred the Order of Dostyk of the second degree on Nenad Lalovic for his contribution to the development of wrestling in Kazakhstan.
