The Head of State held a meeting of the Security Council, El.kz reports citing Akorda.
During the event, issues of updating the main approaches to the implementation of the National Security Strategy were considered. The Head of State noted the special importance of the issues under consideration in terms of strengthening the economic and military potential of Kazakhstan in the light of the complication of the geopolitical situation in the world.
The report of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Economy Nurlan Baybazarov was heard. Information was also provided by the heads of a number of relevant government agencies.
The President stressed the need for an objective analysis of key challenges and threats to national security in modern conditions, as well as the development of measures to prevent them.
The Head of State noted that the issues of security of citizens and the state as a whole should be constantly in the focus of attention of the Government and all departments as a priority area of their activities.
Following the meeting, the Security Council adopted decisions aimed at improving the effectiveness of the system for protecting national interests and managing national security risks.
