Tokayev arrives in Samarkand to participate in Central Asia-EU summit and climate conference

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived at the Congress Center of Samarkand to participate in the Central Asia-European Union summit and the international conference Central Asia in the Face of Global Climate Threats,” El.kz reports.
The Head of State was warmly welcomed by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The leaders of the Central Asian countries and high-ranking representatives of the EU will participate at the summit.
The event is focused on the political, economic and environmental cooperation.
The climate conference will bring together experts and representatives of international organizations to discuss the challenges faced by the region against the backdrop of climate change, water scarcity and desertification.
The Head of State is set to participate in bilateral and multilateral meetings within the framework of the summit.
