Thousands of alpinists to climb peak with height of 4376 meters in mountains of Almaty
On July 7, Almaty will host the annual mass ascent to the Nursultan peak, also known as Almaty Peak, with a height of 4376 meters. This event attracts from 5 to 7 thousand climbers from all over the world, providing a unique opportunity to test their strength and enjoy the magnificent views of the Trans-Ili Alatau, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Almaty Mountaineering Federation.
The organizers of the ascent are the Almaty City Tourism Department, the Almaty Mountaineering Federation and the Commonwealth of Sports Tourists of Almaty and Kazakhstan. The event is held to popularize mountaineering and tourism, as well as to attract the population and young people to active recreation
