Thai business studies trade and investment opportunities in Kazakhstan
More than 50 Thai business representatives participated in a webinar on trade and investment opportunities in Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the Kazakh-Thai Alliance with the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Thailand, El.kz cites Kazakh MFA.
The speakers of the event were representatives of governmental, commercial, and educational organizations of Kazakhstan and Thailand.
In his welcoming speech, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Thailand Arman Issetov spoke about the main achievements of Kazakhstan and the current situation in trade between the two countries. In addition, representatives of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Thailand and Kazakh Invest briefed the audience on the current political and economic situation and measures of state support for foreign investors in Kazakhstan.
The webinar participants showed particular interest in the process of transporting goods from Southeast Asia to Central Asia because of the launch of the Laos-China railway line in December 2021, which for the first time connected the railways of Kazakhstan and Thailand to a single network.
The representative of the Thai logistics company Triple I Logisitcs PCL Tana Vongvadanaroy said that the delivery of goods from Thailand to Kazakhstan can be carried out up to 3 weeks.
In the end, the speakers and audience expressed their interest in organizing additional webinars aimed at highlighting more detailed aspects of trade and economic activity.
