Telegram to have its office in Kazakhstan
Kazakh Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiyev met with the US Chamber of Commerce and representatives of major American companies such as Meta and Apple,El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Digital Development.
The meeting discussed the data security, combating fake accounts, and users protection.
According to Zhaslan Madiyev, Kazakhstan has already signed an agreement with Telegram on the appointment of its representative in the country.
In addition, the Ministry of Digital Development has begun cooperation with Meta in the field of combating Internet fraud. Representatives of the company confirmed that fraudulent schemes on the network are a global problem that requires joint efforts. In the last quarter, Meta banned 1.2 billion fake accounts around the world, using artificial intelligence technologies to prevent such threats.
The Ministry of Digital Development will continue to work on creating a reliable infrastructure to protect Kazakhstanis on digital platforms. The main priority is to ensure the safety of users, and to achieve this goal, Kazakhstan will strengthen international cooperation.
