Sydyq Mukhamedzhanov’s opera Aisulu will be presented again at Astana Opera’s Grand Hall on January 28 and 29, El.kz cites astanaopera.kz.
The premiere was sold out, and now viewers, who were unable to attend the performance, have the opportunity get to know the production, which recently caused a sensation.
Aisulu is a story close to every viewer. The light-hearted narrative, effervescent humour and exciting musical themes create a special atmosphere that engages the audience and makes the viewers emotionally involved in the characters’ lives. The appeal of the opera lies both in the music and in the engrossing plot, which allows everyone to feel the vivacity, fun and adventures that the characters of the performance get involved in.
Stage director Yerenbak Toikenov outlined the task of reviving the atmosphere of the 1960s-70s onstage and making it modern, understandable and exciting for viewers of different ages. Thanks to the artists’ skills and the impressive work of the entire production team, this goal was achieved.
Thus, the production was staged under the direction of conductor, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan Abzal Mukhitdin, stage director Yerenbak Toikenov, set and costume designers, Honoured Workers of Kazakhstan Sofya Tasmagambetova and Pavel Dragunov. Their joint efforts created a lively and colourful stage production. The performers of the main parts, opera company soloists, will once again give the audience unforgettable impressions.
On different days, Aisulu will be portrayed onstage by Nazym Sagintai and Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan Bibigul Zhanuzak, who will be performing this part for the first time. Dinmukhamed Koshkinbayev and Talgat Galeyev will take the stage as Serke. Shyngys Rassylkhan, Yerzhan Saipov are preparing the role of Khassen, Talgat Allabirinov, Artur Gabdiyev will give their interpretations of Aubakir. Honoured Artist of Kazakhstan Zhannat Baktay, Assem Sembina, Saltanat Muratbekova and Tatyana Vitsinskaya will present Zhansulu and Nursulu. The Newsagent and Policeman – Sultan Bakytzhan, Altynbek Abilda (debut), the Academician – Valeriy Selivanov and Bolat Yessimkhanov, Abdiqadyr – Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan Zhanat Shybykbayev, Valeriy Selivanov.
