The Asian Shell Eco Marathon is a large-scale event that brings together the best student teams from across the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East. Participants design and build innovative, energy-efficient vehicles. This year, 120 teams from 13 countries took part in the marathon, and the Satbayev University Racing Team was among the winners, standing out for its commitment to safety.
The initiative of students to create keychains from recycled plastic stood out. Marathon participants brought caps from bottles, which were processed on site into keychains with the Shell logo. This idea was widely accepted and became a real hit among the participants.
The car's structure and steering were also made of recycled plastic. The students even printed the motor from recycled materials. Although he did not show a perfect result on the track, the team continues to work on improving him.
"The received cash prize of 3000 US dollars will be used to further develop our environmental initiatives," the ministry said.
