Special concert: Dimash’s show “Stranger” takes place in Malaysia
Kazakh folk instruments, as well as songs in Kazakh and many other languages of the world were performed for the first time at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur – a solo concert by Dimash Qudaibergen took place in the capital of Malaysia, El.kz cites dimashnews.com.
Guests from different countries came to hospitable Malaysia to get acquainted with a multifaceted program of Dimash and see the world-class show, which began last September in the native land of the singer, and now travels around the world, fully reflecting its name – “Stranger”.
The program of the show surprises and delights the audience with its diversity. Dimash performed compositions in seven languages in different styles and genres.
Each fan of the artist was able to find something new for themselves this evening and at the same time enjoy the new sound of the songs.
At the concert Dimash performed the works of authors from Europe and America “Golden”, “If I never breathe again”, “S.O.S.”. The deep and sad “Autumn Strong” by Japanese author Koji Tamaki brought back memories of Dimash’s participation in the “I am a Singer” project, as well as compositions from the artist’s Chinese album “Screaming”, “Let it be” and the iconic soundtrack in Chinese “Battle of Memory”.
The works of composer Igor Krutoy occupy a significant place in Dimash’s work. Starting with the title song of the show “Stranger”, the polyphonic “Olympico”, as well as the breathtaking magnificent vocalization “Ave Maria”, and, of course, the beloved by all Dears “Love of Tired Swans”, which after the end of the number was sung by the entire international hall in chorus.
The guest of the concert was the world famous Malaysian singer Siti Nurhaliza, who performed her great hit “Bukan Cinta Biasa” and the traditional song “NIRMALA”.
Dimash always emphasizes that his main task is to acquaint the world audience with the culture of his native country, with the creative work of his countrymen. In the program of the show the audience heard and sang together with the artist the folk songs in Kazakh language “Daididau” and “Durdaraz”, as well as songs of Kazakh composers “Makhabbat ber magan” of Aigul Bazhanova, “Fly Away” of Yedilzhan Gabbasov and “Zhalyn”, which he wrote together with Dimash.
Young composer Abilmansur Qudaibergen presented his first compositional work, accompanying his older brother in the song “Together.
After performing particularly touching songs in his native language, Dimash addressed his fans with words of gratitude for their support in the difficult days after the loss of his beloved grandfather:
“The concert could not have happened, but thanks to your support everything is going as it should. Our father always said – if you give your word, keep it, like a real man.”
And of course, Dimash’s compositions “Unforgettable day”, one of the choruses of which was performed in Chinese, “Give me your love” and “Be with me” were the bright accents of the show during the whole evening.
The final part of the show featured major compositions “El amore en ti” in Spanish and the requiem “The story of one sky,” which sounded particularly poignant that evening.
“This is a dream! I’m a very happy artist, because I have you!”, – Dimash is waiting for his fans at the next concerts.
