Snow leopard captured in Katon-Karagay National Park

In the Arshaty forestry, a camera trap recorded snow leopard, one of the rarest species, listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Experts emphasize that the appearance of the snow leopard in this area confirms the effectiveness of measures to preserve the habitat and strengthen environmental activities.
For several years, programs have been implemented on the territory of the national park to preserve biodiversity and restore the number of rare animals.
Katon-Karagay National Park is located in the East Kazakhstan region and is considered one of the most important natural reserves in the country.
