Situation and crisis centers have been opened in universities in Kazakhstan,El.kz reports. These centers are designed to support students in solving problems with accommodation and other issues.
In the situation centers, students can get up-to-date information about the places available in dormitories. In case of lack of places, the center provides information about private dormitories with which contracts have been concluded.
"The Ministry's Situation Center operates throughout the country," said Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Akerke Abylaikhan.
In addition, crisis centers have been created at each university. Here students can temporarily stay until they find a permanent place of residence near the educational institution.
"In the cities of Astana, Almaty, where there is the greatest shortage of dormitories, crisis centers of the Ministry have also been opened," the speaker added.
