Shymkent to host World Cup stage in trap shooting

The Asian Confederation of Sport Shooting (ACS), during the inspection of shooting sports facilities in Kazakhstan, made a decision-conclusion "On 100 percent preparedness and compliance with the international standards of shooting facilities with the requirements of the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF)",  El.kz reports citing NOC.

During the meeting, the President of the Asian Confederation of Sport Shooting (ACS) Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Homud Al-Sabah noted that the Shymkent Shooting Plaza complex is ready to host the licensed stage of the 2026 World Cup in trap shooting, as well as the big Asian Championship in 2025.

In 2024, from September 20 to 30, the Asian Cup in trap shooting will be held in the Almaty region.

In 2025, it is planned to hold the Asian Sports Shooting Championship in Shymkent. At least 2500 athletes are expected to participate.
