Senators consider agreement between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan on border

At a meeting of the Bureau of the Senate, chaired by the Speaker of the Chamber Maulen Ashimbayev, deputies determined the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the Senate, scheduled for April 20, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Opening the meeting, Maulen Ashimbayev stressed on the tasks that were discussed jointly with parliamentarians of the CIS countries during the visit of the delegation of Kazakh senators to the Russian Federation.

In addition, the members of the Bureau approved the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the Chamber. The deputies will consider the Law "On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of Turkmenistan on the Regime of the Kazakh-Turkmen State Border".

The purpose of the Agreement is the mutual establishment of the legal framework and the regulation of relations between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan on the state border.
