Senate considers creation of international center of Kazakh-Uzbek industrial cooperation

Deputies of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Defense and Security at an expanded meeting considered the law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the regulation of the activities of the International Center for Industrial Cooperation "Central Asia", El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Senate of Kazakhstan.
The agreement is aimed at developing economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, attracting investments and forming new supply chains. It provides for the simplification of customs procedures and the provision of favorable conditions for business.
"The creation of the International Center for Industrial Cooperation "Central Asia" is a strategic step aimed at strengthening trade ties between our countries. The project will increase the volume of mutual trade, open up new business prospects and attract investment in key sectors of the economy. This is not just an industrial zone, but an important platform for innovation, cooperation and the development of new production facilities," Alisher Satvaldiyev said.
Following the discussion, the deputies decided to send the document to the Chamber for consideration.
