Script development of mini-series about Jochi Khan completed

The project’s executive producer and director, Emre Şahin, producer Fikret Manoğlu, and production designer Zeki Sarayoğlu arrived in Astana today for a meeting with the State Councillor of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erlan Karin, El.kz reports.

"Our colleagues shared updates on the completion of the script development, which involved renowned screenwriters such as Justin Pollard (*Vikings*) and Claire Morsoom (*Outlaw King*), as well as Kazakhstani and international historians and experts.

Representatives from Karga Seven Pictures revealed that the script development included an in-depth study of the history of Jochi’s ulus and the Golden Horde, as well as the cultural values and lifestyle of the nomadic people and Kazakhs. Location scouting has been conducted, and the casting process is currently underway, with filming set to begin soon" the message reads.

As Mr. Karin noted, the thinkers and strategists of that era had a profound impact on the course of world history and geopolitics.

Representatives from Karga stated that the story of the Golden Horde has generated significant interest among global audiences and international distributors.”
