School of Artificial Intelligence to appear in Kyzylorda
The School of Higher Education in Artificial Intelligence and Informatics, created in partnership between Kazakhstan and Korea, will be launched in Kyzylorda in November 2023, El.kz reports citing Khabar 24.
According to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the new educational institution will start operating at the Korkyt Ata University in the Kyzylorda region. The project will be implemented with the support of experts from the Seoul National University of Science and Technology and is a joint initiative of Kazakhstan and Korea.
Funding for the opening of the project was provided thanks to a grant from the Research Foundation and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea.
"The training will be conducted in three specializations: cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and computer science. Specialists from Korea will be invited to join us, and infrastructure support will also be provided. First of all, we will train our specialists and, using the expert knowledge of invited Korean professors, we will implement this project on the territory of Kazakhstan," said Beibitkul Karimova, rector of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.
In addition, as mentioned in the Ministry of Science, similar projects will be launched in other cities of Kazakhstan. For example, Shinhan University of South Korea and the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are in the process of establishing cooperation.
