Rescuers' square opened in Semey

The event brought together representatives of local authorities, employees of the Department of Emergency Situations, pensioners of civil protection bodies and citizens,  El.kz reports with reference to the Department of Emergency Situations of the Abay region.

The Square of Rescuers is dedicated to all employees of rescue services who risk their lives every day for the safety and well-being of citizens. This place will be a symbol of respect and appreciation for their dedicated work.

The event began with solemn speeches by the akim of the region Nurlan Urankhayev and the head of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Abai region Manarbek Shapagatov, who emphasized the importance of the profession of a rescuer and the need to support their work.

Veterans of the Ministry of Emergency Situations thanked everyone who took part in the construction of the Rescuers' Square for the idea of creation.
