Republican Olympiad for Students of Rural Schools: 170 Prize-Winners among Schoolchildren
In the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, a solemn summing up of the results of the Republican Olympiad for students of rural schools in the natural and mathematical direction took place. 1088 schoolchildren took part in this intellectual competition, and 170 of them became prize-winners, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The award ceremony was attended by First Vice Minister of Education Natalia Zhumadildayeva, who expressed admiration for the level of training of the participants and stressed the importance of intellectual competitions in the development of human capital.
The absolute winner of the Olympiad in the natural and mathematical direction was Nurislam Abdyrakhym, a 9th grade student of the secondary school of the Rakhat rural district of the Almaty region. He shared his impressions of participation, emphasizing that the Olympiad provided him not only with the opportunity to compete for prizes, but also to gain new acquaintances and experience.
170 medals were contested at the Olympiad, including 32 gold, 51 silver and 87 bronze. The diploma "The youngest participant of the Olympiad" was awarded to Kausar Zharylkasyn, a seventh-grader from the Syrdarya district of the Kyzylorda region. The team of the East Kazakhstan region was also named the "Best Olympic Team".
All participants of the final stage were enrolled in the Daryn Republican Correspondence School to prepare for future intellectual competitions. Holders of first-degree diplomas will have the opportunity to participate in the final stage of the Republican Olympiad in general subjects in March 2024. The humanitarian and social direction of the Olympiad for students of rural schools is scheduled for the period from January 22 to 28, 2024.
