Real estate market in Kazakhstan

The number of housing purchase and sale transactions in May 2024 amounted to 31,071, El.kz reports citing the press service of the Bureau of National Statistics of the ASPR of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In May 2024, the number of housing purchase and sale transactions in Kazakhstan amounted to 31,071. Of these, 7,668 transactions concerned houses, and 23,403 - apartments.

Compared to April 2024 (31,248 transactions), the number of transactions decreased by 0.6%. However, compared to May last year, when 25,588 transactions were registered, the increase was 21.4%.

The leaders in the number of transactions are the cities of Almaty and Astana, as well as the Karaganda region. 6,427 transactions (20.7% of the total) were made in Almaty, 4,467 (14.4%) in Astana, and 2,687 (8.6%) in Karaganda region. The fewest number of transactions were carried out in the Ulytau region - only 344 (1.1%).

Statistics show a steady interest in real estate in large cities and regions with developed infrastructure. This trend reflects both the growth of economic activity and the continuing interest of the population in housing investments.
