QazBioPharm to increase production of agricultural products
Issues of providing the Kazakh market with domestic drugs and vaccines were discussed at a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tamara Duisenova, El.kz cites primeminister.kz.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Health, Agriculture and the national holding "QazBioPharm". It was reported that this year the Ministry of Health intends to purchase 50 thousand doses of QazVac vaccines from the holding.
QazBioPharm also produces veterinary drugs. The volume of their production will be increased - the Ministry of Agriculture plans to purchase 25.8 million doses of veterinary drugs and diagnostics from the national holding.
The head of QazBioPharm, Yergali Abduraimov, expressed his intention to conclude long-term contracts with government agencies for the production and supply of these products. The issue will be considered with the concerned departments.
"It is important to support domestic production, but the proposed drugs must meet quality requirements. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the approved schedule for the production and supply of drugs," Tamara Duisenova emphasized.
