Prospects for Cooperation in the Digital Economy Discussed in Amman
Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Talgat Shaldanbay met with Sami Smeirat, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship of Jordan, El.kz cites Kazakh FM.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current interaction in the field of information and communication, in particular, the possibility of cooperation in the field of E-government, as well as the prospects for experience exchange and mutual visits by delegations of the two countries.
The parties noted with satisfaction the Memorandum on cooperation in the sphere of information and communications signed in Amman in February this year, which will allow further intensification of interaction between the authorized bodies of Kazakhstan and Jordan.
The Ambassador noted the expediency of participation of Jordanian IT-entrepreneurs and relevant investors in the Kazakhstan-Jordanian Business-Forum, which is scheduled to be held in Kazakhstan on August 26-27 this year. He also handed over Minister Smeirat an invitation to the Astana International Forum (AIF-2025), which will be held in Astana on May this year.
The Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship of Jordan, gratefully accepted the invitation and expressed the interest in further cooperating with Kazakhstan.
