President of Kazakhstan meets with Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, El.kz reports citing Akorda.
“Your visit is of great importance in terms of further promoting our cooperation with brotherly Azerbaijan. Relations with Azerbaijan are very important for us. We consider your country as a reliable strategic partner and ally," the President emphasized.
In his turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized the dynamic development of bilateral relations.
Taking the opportunity, Jeyhun Bayramov expressed gratitude to the Kazakh side on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan for their assistance following the plane crash in Aktau.
The meeting discussed implementation of major strategic projects, including fiber-optic lines and deep-water electric cables across the Caspian Sea.
Prospects for further cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, digitalization, transit and transport were also considered.
