Political consultations held between Kazakhstan and Bahrain for the first time
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan hosted the 1st round of Kazakh-Bahraini political consultations chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Alibek Bakaev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, El.kz reports with reference to the ministry.
During the political consultations, the parties highly appreciated the positive dynamics and successful development of Kazakh-Bahraini relations based on the principles of friendship and mutually beneficial partnership.
The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues of political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
Special attention was paid to the establishment and expansion of cooperation in the field of trade and investment, transport and logistics, tourism, agriculture and food security, youth and sports.
In order to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, the parties confirmed their intention to continue the practice of exchanging visits, as well as expand the legal framework between the two countries.
An exchange of views took place on topical issues of the regional and international agenda, as well as on mutually beneficial partnership within the framework of multilateral structures, such as the UN, OIC, CICA, SCO, etc. An important aspect of multilateral cooperation remains the further development of the Dialogue Platform "Central Asia - Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf", the first Summit of which was held in July this year in Jeddah.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain a close dialogue between the foreign ministries and stressed the need for regular bilateral consultations.
