Participants of the European Economic Congress Show Interest in Expanding Cooperation with Kazakhstan
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Poland Аlim Kirabayev took part in the XVI European Economic Congress. This year’s event was held under the title “Transformation for the Future”,El.kz cites MFA.
About 5000 participants took part in the work of the Congress. The peculiarity of this event is that it takes place on the eve of the elections to the European Parliament. The importance of the Congress, as well as Poland’s role in the European Union, was particularly emphasised by the President of the European Commission Ms. Ursula von der Leyen who spoke at the event. The Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk among other issues, highlighted Poland’s achievements over the 20 years of its membership of the European Union.
Ambassador Alim Kirabayev spoke at one of the panel sessions of the Congress entitled “Conversations on Europe and the World”, during which he informed in detail about the main political and economic reforms being carried out in Kazakhstan, as well as the prospects for interaction with Poland, including in the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
The participants of the session expressed interest in developing cooperation in various sectors of the economy.
