In three years, educational conditions will be improved in 1231 schools in cities and villages of Kazakhstan, El.kz reports citing the Kazakh Ministry of Education.

In Kazakhstan, 67% of secondary education organizations are located in districts and rural areas. 1.6 million schoolchildren study there. On behalf of the Head of State, over the next three years, it is planned to renovate 1231 schools in all regions of the country. Of this number, 820 schools are located in rural areas.

The Ministry has approved a consolidated plan for the renovation of schools, and regional akimats have developed regional plans for 2025-2027. The renovation includes major repairs, equipping schools with modern subject rooms, updating school furniture, modernizing libraries and canteens, reconstructing or building gyms, improving recreation and public spaces, as well as equipping with security systems.

These measures will improve the material and technical base of educational institutions, introduce innovative educational technologies and improve the qualifications of teachers, the report says.

The project is intended to be implemented within three years: in 2025, 262 schools will be repaired, in 2026 - 436 schools, and in 2027 - 466 schools. In addition, it is planned to update 67 schools in the Zhambyl region in 2028-2029.
