Opportunities for Cooperation in the Field of Vegetable Seed Production Discussed in Serbia

In the context of further development of domestic seed production, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Serbia Madi Atamkulov visited the largest research institute of vegetable production in Serbia, El.kz cites MFA.

During the talk with the management of the Institute, Kazakh diplomat presented the potential for the development of crop production in our country. In order to overcome heavy dependence on the import of foreign seeds in Kazakhstan, invited Serbian specialists to establish joint projects for the development of seed production of vegetable crops. In this regard, to continue the practical dialogue, informed the Serbian side about the Specialized Exhibition “Jańa Dala / Green Day” in Kazakhstan.

Director of the Institute of Vegetable Growing Djuric presented activities of the Institute and expressed interest in exporting high quality vegetable seeds to the Kazakh market, as well as expressed readiness to consider the proposals of the Kazakh side to implement joint scientific projects in the field of seed breeding.

Following the meeting, Kazakh Ambassador visited the laboratories of the Institute of Vegetable Growing, to get information on the quality standards used in the work.
