The ninth round of Kazakhstan-Vietnam political consultations was held under the co-chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Bakayev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Le Thi Thu Hang, El.kz cites MFA.
The parties discussed the current state and dynamics of development of relations between Astana and Hanoi, and noted the significant potential for further expansion of partnership based on the principles of friendship and mutual trust.
The two sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues on the bilateral and international agenda, paying special attention to the schedule of major high-level events for the current year, prospects for further deepening of political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as interaction within the framework of multilateral structures.
Following the event, the parties worked out a number of joint proposals to further strengthen comprehensive mutually beneficial ties between Kazakhstan and Vietnam.
