OECD positively assesses Kazakhstan's measures to promote competition
Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin held the meeting with the representative of the OECD Antonio Capobianco, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Government.
During the talks, Serik Zhumangarin noted that today the OECD recommendations, data within the framework of the First Review, have been implemented by 80%.
The parties discussed Kazakhstan's recent initiatives in the field of competition development and liberalization of the economy of Kazakhstan as well as positively noted the creation of the National Office for Privatization under the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition and its plans to reduce state participation in entrepreneurship.
Representatives of the OECD plan to hold a number of meetings with the heads of other government agencies and international organizations to collect material for the preparation of the Second Review of Competition Law and Policy of Kazakhstan.
