Nurgissa Tlendiyev’s 100th anniversary celebrated in Türkiye
The ceremony dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Nurgissa Tlendiyev was held in Ankara within the TURKSOY organization, El.kz cites MFA.
The event was attended by Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Raev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Türkiye Yerkebulan Sapiyev, Rector of Ankara University of Music and Arts, Chairman of the Union of Art Universities of the Turkic World Erhan Ozden, artists specially arrived from Kazakhstan, diplomats, deputies and Kazakh diaspora.
The opening ceremony started with the performance of Nurgissa Tlendiyev’s works by the famous music group “Turkic World”. Then, the guests were presented with the composer’s photo exhibition, and Nurmukhan Shaimerdenov, a researcher of the Nurgissa Tlendiyev Memorial Museum, familiarized the guests with the life path of the great musician.
In his speech, Ambassador Sapiyev noted that “Nurgisa Tlendiev’s music not only shows us the height of art, but also increases love for culture and national identity of our country. Undoubtedly, his services to the country will remain an example for generations.”
Secretary General of TURKSOY emphasized that Nurgissa Tlendiyev was a famous personality not only of Kazakh people, but also of the whole Turkic world.
Specially arrived from Kazakhstan Director of the Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic, Akan Abduali, dombrist of the “Otyrar Sazy” academic folklore-ethnographic orchestra named after Tlendiev, Arsen Tursyn, ensemble “Otau”, consisting of Kazakh students from Ankara, performed beautiful works of the composer and gave the event a special atmosphere.
