New opportunities and investment potential of Kazakhstan presented in New York

Kazakhstan presented new investment opportunities and strategic prospects during the “Investment Opportunities: Kazakhstan – U.S.” roundtable held in New York, El.kz cites Kazakh FM.
The event was organized by the National Bank of Kazakhstan in partnership with the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the U.S., the Consulate General in New York, and with the support of Samruk-Kazyna JSC and Citigroup.
The roundtable gathered leaders from major U.S. investment funds, financial institutions, the business community and Mayor’s office.
Kazakhstan’s delegation was led by Timur Suleimenov, Governor of the National Bank, and Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna, along with senior representatives of the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market and Baiterek National Holding.
Discussions centered on expanding direct and portfolio investments and strengthening Kazakhstan-U.S. economic cooperation. Kazakh officials outlined key macroeconomic trends, ongoing financial sector reforms, and new opportunities for American investors in energy, critical minerals, digitalization, and infrastructure.
Speakers emphasized Kazakhstan’s commitment to further economic openness, liberalization of banking regulations, and capital market development. American participants highlighted Kazakhstan’s growing appeal as a strategic gateway to Central Asia and a reliable partner amid global supply chain diversification.
Bilateral meetings and networking sessions during the event fostered new business connections and explored opportunities for future collaboration.
