Students of the Higher Polytechnic College of the city of Taldykorgan, together with the department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Zhetysu region, have developed an application that monitors student attendance, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the regional akimat.

Students will use the QR codes displayed at the entrance of the institution to confirm their attendance. The result is automatically recorded on the server.

"Monitoring student attendance using a QR code is convenient for an educational institution and increases the responsibility of students. Each student scans the QR code with their phone as soon as they arrive. The time is automatically entered into the database. It is not possible to scan an image while sitting at home. Therefore, during the session, the academic performance and attendance of each student are clearly visible. This is one of the steps towards the formation of an anti-corruption culture among students," said the project manager, teacher of Baktiyar Satkulov.

The project is now fully ready, for use at the beginning of the school year, it is necessary to enter the information of new students into the database. The QR code developed by the students is installed at the Taldykorgan Higher Polytechnic College.
