In order to exchange views on topical issues of Kazakh-European cooperation, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Viktor Temirbayev held a bilateral meeting with a Member of the European Parliament from Bulgaria Andrey Kovatchev, El.kz cites MFA.
During the conversation, the Kazakh diplomat acquainted the MEP with the latest transformations in the country's political system, the results of the electoral period of 2023 and the main provisions of the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s State-of-the-Nation Address «Economic course of a Just Kazakhstan». Along with this, Temirbayev also highlighted in detail the measures of our authorities to protect human rights and the implementation of the Agreement on Expanded Partnership and Cooperation with the EU.
In turn, Kovatchev praised the reforms, noting that they reflect the desire of Kazakhstan to move along the democratic vector of development. In addition, according to the MEP, cooperation between Kazakhstan and the EU will undoubtedly continue its progressive development along an upward trajectory.
In conclusion, the parties agreed to maintain working contacts on all issues identified during the meeting.
