Meeting at MFA notes high potential of Kazakh-Polish cooperation
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Vassilenko held a meeting with Paweł Kowal, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Sejm (the lower house of Poland’s parliament), El.kz cites MFA.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen inter-parliamentary ties, expand political and trade-economic cooperation, and enhance collaboration within international organizations. Special attention was devoted to cultural and educational issues. It was noted that Poland is a popular destination for Kazakhs students, with over 3,000 currently studying in that country.
The Deputy Minister highlighted that Poland is an important partner for Kazakhstan in the European Union, expressing readiness to further deepen cooperation in all key areas. He also stressed the significant role of the 35,000 -strong Polish diaspora in Kazakhstan, which actively contributes to strengthening relations between the two countries.
The Polish MP, in turn, noted the positive dynamics of bilateral relations and reaffirmed his commitment to deepening cooperation, including the development of inter-parliamentary contacts.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Roman Vassilenko extended his best wishes of success to the Polish side during its upcoming Presidency of the EU Council in the first half of 2025.
