Maulen Ashimbayev outlines tasks set by President

Maulen Ashimbayev outlined the tasks emanating from the instructions of the Head of State, which Kassym-Jomart Tokayev set at a meeting on the socio-economic development of the country the day before. The Chairman of the Chamber called on the Majilis and the Government to consolidate efforts around their implementation, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the Head of State drew the attention of the Government and local government agencies to the priority problems of each region. The Senate is ready, together with the Majilis and the Government, to take the necessary legislative decisions to implement the tasks set by the President of the country. We must also be guided by these tasks in the course of work and take them into account when implementing the Senate Action Plan," Maulen Ashimbayev emphasized.

Senators also ratified the Agreement on the regime of the Kazakh-Turkmen state border today. During the discussion of the situation at the border, the senators raised the issue of recurring traffic jams at customs posts. To which representatives of the Ministry of Finance retorted that there were no problems at customs.
