Mangystau region to create more tourist locations
Kazakh Minister of Culture and Sports Askhat Oralov held a meeting on the prospects for the development of tourism in the Mangystau region. Among the participants of the meeting was the head of the Rixos hotel chain Fettah Tamince, El.kz reports citing the press service of the ministry.
Askhat Oralov drew attention to the special attractiveness of the region and the great tourist potential.
"Aktau has all the prospects to become a center of attraction for tourists. The number of guests from Iran, for whom a visa-free regime has been introduced since last year, is growing. There are all the conditions for the development of tourism in the region: climate, infrastructure, great demand from tourists, favorable conditions for investors, businessmen. And we will initiate the creation of new locations," minister Askhat Oralov said.
In his turn Fettah Taminje spoke about the dynamics of tourism development in the Mangystau region.
"We have completed the construction of several important infrastructure facilities, such as a golf club, a shopping center and new roads. Also last year we established cooperation with two Turkish tour operators and this year we plan to attract other tour operators. Today we have five potential partners who are very interested in Aktau, but we need more places to accommodate tourists. By May next year, we plan to open another hotel with 300 rooms. If we take into account the entire infrastructure, including transport, the total turnover of the business reaches $ 100 million. At the same time, about 3,000 people were provided with work. And three hotels can employ 5,000 people," Fettah Tamince said.
