Leading gastroenterologists of the world gather in Astana
The XVII annual gastroenterological Forum "Astana - Gastro 2022" with the participation of international experts began its work in the capital, El.kz reports with reference to the Astana Medical University.
The forum is held on the basis of the Medical University "Astana" and organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, under the auspices of WGO (World Association of Gastroenterologists), the National Association of Gastroenterologists of Kazakhstan, with the participation of the School of Medicine "Nazarbayev University" and the CF "UMC" National Scientific Center for Motherhood and Childhood.
For the first time, in addition to domestic specialists, well-known experts on adult and pediatric gastroenterology from the CIS countries will take part in the Forum.
The issues of precancerous diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, the possibility of early and high-quality diagnosis, new ways of targeted therapy: chronic atrophic gastritis, GERD, non-epithelial and epithelial diseases of the stomach and esophagus will be widely covered.
The issues of the state program for the elimination of hepatitis C in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the consequences of COVID-19, as well as ways to solve them will be discussed. A large section is devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of intestinal pathology in children and adults, liver cancer in children. Clinical cases will be presented for discussion.
The forum is an exchange of experience, knowledge between gastroenterologists - hepatologists, therapists, oncologists, pediatricians, endoscopists, specialists in radiation diagnostics, surgeons, students, residents and undergraduates.
As a result of the event, participants are provided with the issuance of certificates.
