The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov reported at a meeting of the Parliament that explanatory work is being carried out with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, El.kz cites 24.kg.

According to him, a conference will soon be held in Kyrgyzstan to discuss the preservation of the lake. Scientists from around the world have been invited to participate in it. Experts are currently working on a program aimed at protecting Issyk-Kul.
Akybek Japarov emphasized that it is crucial to prevent Issyk-Kul from sharing the fate of the Aral Sea.
