KOREAN NEW YEAR WILL BE CELEBRATED IN KOSTANAY WITH A FAMILY COMPETITION AND A WEDDING CEREMONY

Unusual competition – Korean ethnocultural association of Kostanay region plans to organize Korean Family Day for the first time within the framework of celebration of the Korean New Year - Seollal.

"Seollal is a family holiday. On this day, all children and grandchildren gather with their parents to express their respect and respect. There are many traditions associated with this holiday, which we, as representatives of the community, want not only to preserve, but also to popularize. That is why this year it was decided to hold such a contest, where Korean families could show how much they respect their traditions and customs, and at the same time tell about the culture of their ethnos to other people. We invite those who wish to take part in the contest. Everybody is waiting for pleasant prizes and gifts," said Ulyana Kim, Deputy Chairman of the Korean community.

In addition to the contest of families, a real Korean wedding ceremony will be held for the first time in Kostanay, the guests from Astana will specially come for it.
